Write the first two paragraphs of the introduction of your thesis, dissertation, or paper. The topic should be your graduate research, or, if you don't have a major professor/topic yet, a topic that you would like to pursue.

Remember to start broad - briefly describe the overall field - and then narrow in on your particular topic. The paragraphs should also mention the importance of the broad research area. You don't need to include citations yet, but you should put in empty references, [] or similar, to mark where you need or would like a reference. For example, "Robots now serve an important role in industry[], medicine[], and agriculture[], and their role is expected to grow significantly in the next 10 years[]."

The paragraphs should be typed and carefully edited. For now the formatting and word processor (Word, latex, etc.) doesn't matter.
