Web History Visualizer
People are using the internet for longer periods of time, yet that time
spent seems like a blur, and it is hard to remember what that time was
actually spent doing. This program would take a list of Web History and
visualize it. Showing data like what days and hours you are on the internet
the most, any special trends like the hours you spend the most on work
websites vs. the hours you spend on entertainment websites, and any other
data that people might find interesting.
Jeffery notes: Needs a lot more than a web history list. Hard to do portably,
hard to care about a non-portable version. But if you do scope it as a
portable multi-browser tool, and do undertake the broader scope suggested,
and not just the minimal graph-the-webhistory-file interpretation, it is
potentially really useful to helicopter parents and recovering net junkies.
There is this whole related field of user modeling that is broadly interesting.
