CS383 HW#1: Study the Application Domain

Due: before class Friday September 5, via e-mail (jeffery@uidaho.edu) and paper turnin

This week, gather as much material as you can on the application domain of our ICU MUD project. Construct a web page (i.e. an HTML document) with resources you find. For practical purposes this means internet-available materials, but feel free to cite books or software that is related even if it isn't readable on the internet.

As a reminder, the application domain is: a collaborative UML drawing tool, employing a multi-user domain (MUD, also "multi-user dungeon") paradigm for providing synchronous and asynchronous communications and documentation details on software projects viewed as sets of UML diagrams. Note that supporting documentation for a given UML diagram may be given in a variety of text and structured text formats such as source code or HTML.

Cite existing systems that you find that do provide support for as much of this as you can find: UML drawing tools, collaborative drawing tools, easy MUD-construction kits or simple open-source MUD implementations are all of interest.
