All project-related materials produced by your project team during the semester are to be stored on CDs. One copy of the CD is to be given to your customer and the other copy given to your instructor. Organize your CD into directories that will make in easy for someone to navigate to the location containing the information for which they are searching.
The CD is to contain the following material:
A “read me” file that describes the contents of the CD.
All documents produced including requirements specification, design specification, test plan, and user documentation (if requested by your customer) in their native file format (in most cases these should be Microsoft Word files).
All project management data and lists including, defect log, issues list, requirements table, risk items, test log, etc.
The final version of the source code and supporting build files.
An installable version of your product corresponding to the final version of the code.
All test cases generated and any automated support for executing them and evaluating the results.
All html code for your project web site. The intent of this data is to allow easy recreation of your project web site.
All script files, if any, used to access and update your web site.
A copy of all meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and presentations in their native file formats.
A text-based copy of all e-mail generated by you, your customer, and your instructor during the semester. This can be a single large file. The intent here is that someone should be able to search this file and find the text of email messages should that become necessary without having to use the original e-mail system.
A copy of your poster in native file format.
Any other items produced for your project that weren’t explicitly requested above that will be important for the project sponsor to have.
