Meeting Minutes Purpose: Release 1 Design Presentation Date: 9-27-07 Time: 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Location: Dr. Junk's Office JEB 324 Attendees: Dr. Junk, Dr. Bodke, Cody Tews, Frank Jones, Andrew Hattrup, Michael Krueger, Ryan Lease Recorder: Ryan Lease Presenter: Andrew Hattrup Summary of Items Discussed: 2:00 P.M.- Slide 1: Team Header Slide 2: Overview of the project. Slide 3: Release 1 Features -Cody asked what the Operational Spec. actually was. We clarified that it was akin to a functional model. -The design specification was clarified to be how we chose to implement the functions in our functional model. Slide 4: Operational Model -Cody wondered about the interactivity of the menu system. -Mike explained that the menu was indeed interactive, but the script was flexible enough to add anything we might want. -Cody requested that there be a strict command line for quick use. -Cody requested that there be an ability to do diff against a set of files and print that output to a file. Slides 5-10: Product Demonstration No comments. Slide 11: Testing No comments. Slides 12-13: Benchmark Data -Dr. Junk pointed out that we could perhaps use more graphs to draw a correlation between certain sets of data, and that it would help explain our data better. -Several theories were offered up as to why our data might look the way it did. One possible reason has to do with optimizations already in the code itself. Slides 14-15: Defects - One defect that was determined to be noteworthy enough to be fixed post code freeze. 4 other documented defects. Slide 16: CVS Stats - We need to trim down our code base, as there is a lot of code in it that we don't use. Slide 17: Project Schedule No comments. Slide 18: Product Release 2 -Diagram of our projected approach to our next release. -Some talk between Frank and Dr. Bodke about the streaming approach for our last release. Slide 19: Risk Analysis No comments. Slide 20: Questions? 3:00 P.M. END Action Items Modify the script to add command line and diff features. Possibly start using the "dd" command to create files Fix defects. Begin work on Release 2 design and implementation. Finish any outstanding tasks on the task list.
