Due Friday Feb. 13th by the beginning of lecture.
The goal of this project is to create an adventure game like the one we
created in class.
you should begin by picking your own theme, some possiblities include:
- Typical D&D type game: kill monsters, collect treasure.
- Rescue game: rescue people/animals from a fire/volcano/earthquake/zombies/
- Collection game: collect pearls/diamonds/space diamonds/flowers from underwater/undergroud/outer space/a nice field
- College game: collect homework assignments/exams while avoiding distractions parties/games/etc. (except on the Saturday Night level when everything is reversed).
Your game should include the following componenets:
- The player should control a character/avatar using either the mouse or arrow keys.
- The player's character/avatar should have at least three variables, things like health, attack, energy, gold, score, lives, etc., etc.
- There should be at least two "good" items: treasure, flowers, etc. that effect the player in different positive ways and at least two "bad" items that effect the player in different negative ways.
- There should be at least two levels with different backgrounds.
- Include some sound effects, special visual effects, and at least one anitmation.
- As always name the project "[accountname]-project3" where [accountname]
is the name of your Scratch account. (E.g. I would use the name:
tsoule88-project3
- In the description of the project (click the "See project page" button in the upper right)
list the changes you made to the project. Be sure to include an extra changes that are not
part of the assignment, some extra credit will be available for particularly impressive projects.
- Add the project to the "CS112, Spring 2015, UI" portfolio. (On the project page you will need
to click the share button, it's on the upper right side of the window.)
This turns in the project. The TA will find the project in the
portfolio to grade it.
