CS112
Assignment #2
Due Friday February 7th by the beginning of lecture.
For this assignment you will be creating a longer Scratch scene. You may
pick whatever theme you want. The assignment may be more interesting if you
pick a theme that's interesting to you. A few possibilities are: a music video,
a scene from a movie or play, sprites telling jokes, a comicbook scene, or
a story with a message, but its up to you.
Regardless of the theme of your scene it should include the following Scratch
elements:
- At least three sprites.
- At least two backgrounds.
- The sprites should move.
- The sprites should "talk" - e.g. use the Scratch say
or think command from the Looks group of command.
- The sprites should interact using either broadcast/recieve or wait commands (or both) to control thier timing.
- Sound.
- At least one effect.
- At least one external media element, i.e. an image or sound that
does not come from the Scratch libraries.
When you turn in the project, make sure to do the following:
- In the description of the project briefly describe the script: it's theme,
any interesting features you added, etc.
- Save the remixed project under the name "project2-[accountname]" where [accountname]
is the name of you Scratch account. (E.g. I would use the name:
project2-tsoule88
- Add the project to the "University of Idaho CS112 Spring 14" portfolio.
This turns in the project. The TA will find the project in the
portfolio to grade it.
